We're looking for our first Business Development Representative as part of the Sales Team. We are seeking for someone with passion, creativity, and drive.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to drive the success of our Business Development efforts with the focus on acquiring new customers.
Where we stand today:
We have a product that over-delivers on its promise, we have validated our positioning, the ideal target company, our ideal champion and economic buyer. We have reached strong initial traction closing six-figure deals with global Enterprises. We’ve done this with only one part-time BDR and one part-time Sales Rep (our CEO). We’ve developed the first version of our playbook to find and close large Enterprise deals.
Where we want to be in 12 months:
We want to prove we can acquire, onboard and expand our customers in a repeatable and predictable way in order to triple our Annual Recurring Revenue. A crucial part of this is how we turn MQLs from into SQLs, generate our own outbound prospecting, and work side by side with the Lead-Gen team members and Account Executives to optimize and grow the Sales Machine.
Reporting initially directly to the CEO, here are some duties you would be responsible for (plus other things, this is a startup after all):
Sales Development calls and relationship building for prospecting
Contacting potential clients via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
Work with Sales and Marketing teams to improve Sales Collateral
Tradeshows and events - Manage various aspects of business generation through event coordination, pre-show outreach and assistance along with Account Executives.
Monitor Hubspot Sales Dashboards for Business Development tracking and analysis.
Analyze and evaluate sales and the performance of customers concerning forecasts, quota, and potential.
2+ years prior B2B sales experience (within a Software/High Tech company is a plus)
Social Selling and Networking proficient (LinkedIn and Sales Navigator)
Hard-working and willing to achieve a high volume of sales activity
Fearless attitude – ready to take intelligent risks
Continuous Improvement habits. Problem Solver
Strong track record of collaboration with sales and others in marketing
Very strong interpersonal and communication skills to understand the market, and the needs of prospects. Assertive and persuasive.
Great listener and quick thinker with an inquisitive nature.
Experience in a startup (or similarly fast-paced) environment is strongly preferred
Experience using CRM is preferred.
An academic degree is not a requirement to apply for this position; you may have a Bachelor's degree, or maybe you are self-taught with enough experience.
